How to play Temple Dash
Temple Dash is a free endless runner that works in any modern browser. You run down a crumbling temple path with three lanes. The longer you survive, the faster you go, and your score is your distance plus ten points for every gold coin.
Play nowControls
Computer: use the left and right arrow keys (or A and D) to change lane. Press the up arrow, W or Space to jump. Press the down arrow or S to slide.
Phone and tablet: swipe left or right to change lane, swipe up (or tap) to jump, and swipe down to slide.
The three obstacles
Stone blocks are low, so jump over them. Overhead beams are high, so slide underneath. Tall pillars cannot be crossed at all, so move to another lane before you reach them.
Tips for a higher score
Look ahead instead of at your character. Obstacles appear small and far away, which gives you time to plan your lane. Do not jump too early: the jump is short, and landing before the block ends the run. If a jump is in the air and you see a beam coming, pressing down makes you drop and slide right away.
Gold coins come in lines of six. Collecting a full line is worth sixty points, which equals the points for a long stretch of running, so steer toward them when the path is clear. Never risk a pillar for a single coin.
Speed rises steadily until it reaches a maximum. After that the game stays at the same pace, so a calm rhythm of small lane changes works better than constant movement.
